Robert Napoletano, MD

Dr. Napoletano is a partner of Starling Physicians, in New Britain, Connecticut. He received his BA in Zoology at the University of Vermont, and continued his education at Boston University to earn his Doctor of Medicine degree. He completed his internship and residency at New Britain General Hospital in New Britain, Connecticut, as part of the University of Connecticut Surgical Residency Program. Dr. Napoletano is a full time Senior Attending, Associate Chief of Surgery, and Head of Vascular Surgery at Hartford Hospital's The Hospital of Central Connecticut New Britain Campus.  He is also a clinical instructor in the Department of Surgery at the University of Connecticut Medical School. His expertise and sound reputation as a surgeon have earned him a well-respected name in his field. Recently, Dr. Napoletano was honored with the title of one of ‘America’s Top Surgeons’ by the Consumer Research Council of America. With greater than 25 years of experience in vascular surgery and wound care, he is sensitive to the functional and cosmetic concerns that arise in the face of venous insufficiency.

Mary Geiser is employed full time at Hartford Hospital's The Hospital of Central Connecticut New Britain Campus.  She received her bachelor's degree in Health Science from the University of the Sciences in Philadelphia.  She continued her education at Phildelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine where she obtained her Master's in Physician Assistant Studies.  She then pursued a General Surgery Residency and upon completion was asked to continue full-time employment as a Surgical Physician Assistant.  In 2011, she began working with Dr. Napoletano at The Vein Center of Starling Physicians (formerly Grove Hill) on a part time basis. Mary's position includes evaluation and management of patients with venous insufficiency under the supervision of Dr. Napoletano. She is board certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants and a fellow member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants.
